  • Clinical internship at Capital Area Counseling, a community counseling agency. Worked with clients facing a broad range of issues including mental illness, grief, PTSD, addiction, sexual and gender identity, and relationship struggles.

 

  • Emergency room sexual assault advocate for SafePlace, an agency that works with those affected by domestic and sexual violence. I offered accompaniment and advocacy to adolescent and adult sexual assault survivors. This role provided me experience with trauma, crisis interventions, and the criminal justice system.

 

  • Research assistant in UT Austin’s Sexual Psychophysiology Lab; one that focuses on improving our understanding of women’s sexual health and developing effective clinical treatments.
